Brian has enjoyed an illustrious career as an amateur which included winning the
European Amateur Championship (2005) and the British Amateur Championship
(2005), both Brian and Sergio Garcia are the only two people to have ever
won these two prestigious events.

Other notable individual achievements include winning the North of Ireland
Championship (2003), the Irish Close(2004) and the Georgia Cup (2006).
Brian has represented club, province, country and continent at team level
and in 2005 was a member of the GreatBritain and Ireland Walker Cup Team.
He turned professional after competing at the 2006 US Masters at Augusta,
Georgia (where he finished the best amateur).
For the remainder of 2007, Brian will focus his attention on the
Europro Tour for which he obtained a tour card at the qualifying held in
April 2007.
