2010 POLARIS #4 EL VALLE OPEN

Michael McGeady signed for a 72 in the final round of the Polaris #4 El Valle Open today and moved up 7 places to finish in T25.

He has to be applauded for his fightback from a very uncharacteristic 79 (+8) in the first round, in fact, throughout the tournament, Michael carded 2 triple bogies, 2 double bogies, 6 bogies, 34 pars & 10 birdies in his 54 holes, 8 of these birdies coming in the last 36 holes. A second round of 69 ensured Michael made the cut again on the Hi5 Pro Tour and will add confidence ahead of his busy schedule this year.

Club-mate Brian McElhinney posted a level par 72 today also in the first round of the Amelkis Classic held in Marrakesch, Morocco. After finishing 4th in last weeks Tournament, Brian will be looking to continue his run of form. Both local pros will be back in Ireland next week supporting the Foyle Hospice Am Am taking place at the North West Links on Friday March 12th, Tee booking available by contacting Gary in the Shop.
